Libby Waterson, director of education at TCMH, is surprised at her office this morning when Nikkie Leake and Kimberly McCracken presented her the Gift of Hope Award.

Libby Waterson was honored Friday morning when she received the Gift of Hope Award, given to volunteers with five or more years of service to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in both development and patient services.

Waterson, director of education at Texas County Memorial Hospital, was surprised at her office when she was presented the award by Nikki Leake and Kimberly McCracken.

“Libby has been an amazing volunteer for the American Cancer Society,” Leake said. “Along with being a Relay participant and team captain, she established the Patient Education Resource Center at TCMH to assist patients with wigs, hats, information, boost and gas card application.

“Libby is a wonderful asset to the American Cancer Society and truly understands the importance of supporting the cancer patient and raising funds to find a cure.”
