Doug Driesel Jr., whose having success in Hollywood, was featured during a 10 1/2-minute segment Monday night on the History Channel’s, “History of the Joke.”
Driesel, who attended school at Houston, performs in the program as a standup comedian at the Westside Eclectic’s “Ed Galvez Punk House.”

The program features comedian Lewis Black’s quest for the secret ingredients of a great joke. Black discovers some of America’s greatest joke tellers, including George Carlin, Shelley Berman, Robin Williams, Robert Klein, Kathleen Madigan, Penn & Teller, Kathy Griffin and Dave Attell.
Driesel, 24, also had done writing and acting. He may be best known for comedy animation work, including “Taco the Fish.”
