Texas County voters supported Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Mike Huckabee overwhelmingly in balloting Tuesday in the state’s presidential primary.
Both rolled over their competition in the county primary.
In MIssouri, Clinton won. Republican John McCain held a small lead over Huckabee.

Voter turnout in Texas County today exceeds the number of votes cast during the 2004 presidential primary, a check this afternoon shows.
Four years ago, 2,751 made it the polls.
At one precinct early this afternoon, Houston, the tally already exceeds 1,000. Countywide at 12:30 p.m. 3,501 votes had been cast. That puts the county on track to have 47 percent of its registered voters travel to the polls.
Voting was orderly at the Houston Storm Shelter, a new location for Piney Township voters. A constant stream was entering and exiting the building, which is situated at First and Pine streets.
