Two persons were seriously injured Monday morning in a Texas County crash near Mountain Grove.

Cpl. Curtis Haden said a vehicle driven by Arlin M. Wake, 80, of Willow Springs, approached a car from behind and attempted to pass it on Business 60. Driver Wilma J. Pendergrass was attempting to make a turn into a private drive. Haden said Wake’s 1992 Oldsmobile struck Pendergrass’ 2003 Pontiac.

A passenger in the Pendergrass vehicle, Eric E. Druba, 24, of Willow Springs, was flown to Cox South in Springfield. He was not wearing a seat belt, Haden said.

Pendergrass was taken to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains. Both had serious injuries, Haden said.

Another passenger, Misty L. Gant, 28, of Willow Springs, and Wake were to seek their own treatment.
