Robert Lee “Bob” Randall, 74, son of Wade Randall and Anna Naomi Crawford Randall, was born Nov. 10, 1933, at Summersville. He died March 19, 2008, at Gateway Regional Hospital in Granite City, Ill.

He married Melba Levene Bryant March 17, 1959. They had five children.

He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Alton and Southern Railroad in East St. Louis, Ill.

Mr. Randall was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2001; his parents; a brother, Wallace Randall; and a grandson.

Surviving are his children, Dan Randall of North Fort Meyers, Fla., Brenda “Susie” Loftus and Nathan Randall of Granite City, Ill., Robert Randall Jr. of Highland, Ill., and Dr. Derrick Randall of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers, Wade Randall of Puntna Gorda, Fla., and Donald Randall of Granite City, Ill.; one sister, Karen Wolff of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were March 25 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel at Summersville with the Rev. Phil Jester officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
