The Brushy Creek Bridge near U.S. 63 and Oak Hill Drive is closed after high water began whipping over the structure. A nearby business, A-1 Towing, began removing vehicles and items from its location.

Flooding continues in Texas County as normal dry creek beds and ditches were turned into roaring streams.

Brushy Creek at Grand Avenue is closed, as is the bridge near Oak Hill Drive.

The National Weather has extended a flash flood warning until 7 a.m. Wednesday for Texas County.

It said serious flooding is occurring and additional rain is expected overnight.

Several roads in the county are closed, according to MoDOT:

*Highway BB – 8.14 miles from U.S. 63

*Highway M – 2.92 miles from Highway 17

*Highway M – 3.85 miles from Highway 17

*Highway U – near Highway 137
