The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, which will host blood drives on consecutive days in Houston, has issued a code yellow alert for A Negative and O Negative blood types.

CBCO will collect blood from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. March 21 at Texas County Memorial Hospital. The following day, a drive will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Houston Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Eligible donors should weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. Proof of identification is required for first-time donors. CBCO says it needs the public’s help to meet the growing need for blood in the Ozarks.
