B. Maybelle Breeden, 67, daughter of Arthur and Zelma Smothers Poe, was born Feb. 18, 1941, at Licking. She died April 24, 2008, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She married Paul Breeden Jan. 26, 1957. They had two children and adopted a grandson and raised him.
Mrs. Breeden was a member of the Licking Church of Christ, attending the various activities when her health permitted.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Paul Jr.; sister, Glenna; and a brother, Jerry.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Parker of Salem; a son, Michael Breeden of Salem; brother, Otis Tripp of Maples; sisters, Lee Breeden of Montauk, Jan Edgar of St. louis and Evelyn Kuehn of St. Louis.
Services were April 27 at the Licking Church of Christ with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
