A program that will give youth skills involving information technology is set for Plato High School from July 25-27.
“3, 2, 1…Action Weekend Overview” is a team of youth and adults from Fort Leonard Wood and surrounding counties who are coming together to learn new skills and create public service announcements about Army youth programs, 4-H and life as a military kid.
Participants will come from active duty army, National Guard, reserves and the community.
Participants will learn marketable technology skills, gain leadership skills, experience cutting-edge technology, work with technology experts from around the world, gain access to the latest technology tools and develop a public service announcement using technology.
University Extension says team members will participate in producing digital video productions to include: developing concerts to communicate key messages, storyboarding, using digital video cameras, learn filming techniques and learn video editing software.
Those participating will develop public service announcements that explain how Army youth programs and 4-H work together to make life for kids in the military and the community better.
