The Houston tennis team warmed up for Friday’s district tournament by winning three matches Monday at Richland.
Jonathan Page, who has only been defeated one time this season, won his match 6-0, 6-0. The doubles teams of Ashton Kell and William Jones and Emily Stubbs and Andrew Finn also won.
Jeff Stilley lost his No. 2 singles match 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
The Tigers completed the regular season Friday with a 6-3 victory against visiting Willow Springs.
Page and Samantha Jones each won their singles matches 8-2. William Jones won 8-3 and Ashton Kell was an 8-5 winner. Stilley retired with an injury trailing 4-0.
Dalton Wilson and Skyler Ward won their doubles match 8-2. Kell and Jones were defeated 8-3, and Stubbs and Finn lost 8-6.
JV TENNIS: Marly Richison cruised to an 8-0 victory Thursday in Houston’s match against Stoutland.
Lainey Casper won her No. 1 singles match 8-6. Alexandria Ceplina was defeated 8-2.
Sarah Pierce and Erica Keeney lost their doubles match 8-1.
