Texas County finished third place in Missouri in the spring turkey season that concluded Sunday, the Missouri Department of Conservation reported.
The count was 801, which was up 11 from last year. The other top counties were: Franklin, 838; and Osage, 696.
Statewide, the count dropped 1,529 from last year’s count. The total kill was 43,416.
