Walls are going up at the Houston Welcome Center near North U.S. 63 and Oak Hill Drive in Houston.
Bill Sullivan of Raymondville, left, the project manager, talks to a workman at the site of what was a market in Houston’s early years. A complete renovation of the exterior is nearing completion.
The center, a project of Downtown Houston Inc., is made possible through the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program. One of leg of a nearby walking trail will be formally opened later this month.
