Houston Receives Million Grant for Economic Development Aid

The federal U.S. Economic Development Administration will award a $1 million grant to the City of Houston that could lead to the expansion of a Houston manufacturer, the Durham Co., creating new jobs and the expansion of the firm’s north plant at the Houston Industrial Park.

City officials said if the various pieces continue to fall in place, the funds would be used to aid the Durham Co. in an expansion.

U.S. Sen. Kit Bond notified the city of the decision.
