Lillian Doris Smith, 74, daughter of Tom and Viola Hebblethwait Craig, was born April 28, 1934. She died May 26, 2008.
She married James Donald Miller in 1951.
She married Ronald Smith Aug. 15, 1979. He died Feb. 4, 2008.
A former resident of St. James, she lived at Licking.
Mrs. Smith was a factory worker at California Manufacturing Co. for 25 years. She was obtained her GED at age 65.
After leaving California Manufacturing at St. James, she made pies for Mickey’s in Rolla.
She was a member of the St. James Christian Church since 1980. She loved to travel with the church’s Keenagers. She did funeral dinners, quilting, sewed clothes for the Shiloh Christian Children’s Ranch and volunteered at the Caring Center.
In addition to her husband, Ronald; she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harley Dean Craig and Kenneth Dale Craig; and two sisters, Maxine Galusha and an infant sister, Eldena Craig.
Surviving are one son, Randy Smith of St. James; two daughters, Susie Swezey of Arkadia, Kan., and Janet Douglas of Springfield; two brothers, Allen Craig of Roseville, Ill., and T. J. Craig of St. James; one sister, Ruth Williams of Licking; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were May 30 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James with Ed McDonald officiating. Burial was in the family plot in the St. James Cemetery at St. James.
Memorials may be made to the St. James Christian Church, Keenagers or youth group.
