Two women were injured early Tuesday when a vehicle ran off the road at the U.S. 63 and Highway 14 intersection, West Plains police said.
The driver, Brittany N. Merritt, 20, of West Plains, told police that she was traveling east on Highway 14 when she served to miss a deer. Cpl. Joey Kentner said she overcorrected and swerved into the opposite lane, ran off the road and overturned.
Two passengers, Allie M. Moore, 18, of West Plains, and Kimberly R. Epperly, 20, of Houston, were taken to Ozarks Medical Center. A third person, Ambrea K. Brown, 20, of Houston, did not seek medical attention, according to the report.
Merritt is charged with failure keep right, being a minor in possession of intoxicants and DWI, police said.
