Texas County Memorial Hospital is hosting a ribbon cutting and an open house from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, June 19, to celebrate the addition of a sleep studies laboratory on the hospital’s campus.
The Office Annex is in the former business office building of the hospital – the brick building behind the hospital’s emergency room. The hospital’s maintenance department completed the refurbishing and remodeling of the structure.
In addition to the new sleep studies laboratory, the annex is also home to the new offices of Deborah Belt-Kell, professional counselor, the Texas County Healthcare Foundation and Hospice of Care.
“The addition of a sleep studies lab will provide a much-needed healthcare service to the residents of Texas County,” said Wes Murray, chief executive officer at TCMH. “We are proud to again bring a new healthcare service to the community and to increase our county’s access to healthcare.”
Area residents will be able to see the sleep rooms used for the studies and the related lab, as well as the new offices. Refreshments will be served at the event.
