A 41-year-old Licking man is expected to be charged with sexually abusing a child under the age of 14, Licking police said.
An investigation by Licking officers and the Missouri Department of Social Services children’s division led to a confession, said Police Chief Scott Lindsey.
The man, who isn’t being named pending charges, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree statutory rape, first-degree statutory sodomy, first-degree child molestation; and first-degree sexual misconduct.
He is held in the county jail.
