A Houston truck driver escaped injury this afternoon in a Gasconade County crash that killed one and left four others with serious injuries, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
A vehicle driven by a Belle woman cross the centerline and struck the big rig driven by Charles E. Tyree, 71, of Houston, in the rear. The patrol said after the impact, the woman’s car struck another head-on.
The driver of the car that caused the accident was killed and the injured in the other vehicle were taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.
The 2005 International driven by Tyree sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene, the patrol said.
