Romines Motor Co. Inc. began the commemoration Friday to highlight the founding of the business by Glenn Romines Sr. Today, his three sons, Glenn, Robert and Don, operate the family business that moved from the downtown business district to busy U.S. 63 in the mid-1980s.
Kevin Klossner, regional sales manager for Ford Motor Co., on Friday presented the family with a plaque that recognized the partnership of the two entities. Nearby, displays highlighted the firm’s history in photographs and newspaper clippings.
On Saturday, dozens of Mustangs lined the parking lot of the dealership for a show. Nearby, members of The Animal Shelter of Texas County sold food items. The local FFA chapter manned a dunking booth.
