CAPTAINS: David Weybright and Ty Scheets are captains for the second consecutive year. They are joined by junior Brad Pounds. Houston coach Chris Edwards said another player is attempting to earn the final captain position.

NEW LOOK: Houston will debut Friday night with its new uniforms. The Tigers’ away jerseys are white with black numbers and trim. Above the numbers on the front is the word “HOUSTON.” There is also a black stripe that runs from underneath the arm to the knee cap. The home uniforms are black with red inserts.

The Tigers’ helmets also received a new look over the offseason. The former design, which resembled the Cincinnati Bengals of the NFL, has been replaced by solid black helmets. Edwards said players will earn stickers for their helmet.

SKULLS & PAWS: Players will have multiple ways to earn stickers for their helmets this seson.

OFFENSE:

– Win. Everyone that plays in the game on offense or an offensive special team gets one.

– Score four offensive touchdowns. Everyone gets one.

– 100 yard rusher. Rusher,. offensive line and best blocking wide receiver get one.

– 185 yards passing. Quarterback gets one.

– 80 yards receiving. Wide receiver gets one

– Touchdown. Whoever scores.

– 350 yards total offense. Anyone who played offense gets one

– Big block. Coaches decide.

– No sacks. Offensive line and running backs get one.

– Offensive scout team player gets one.

DEFENSE:

– Win. Everyone who played on defense or defensive special teams gets one.

– Hold opponent to 10 points or less. Everyone gets one

– 10 or more tackles.

– Sack or tackle for loss.

– Interception or pass break up.

– Forced fumble/fumble recovery/blocked kick.

– Opponent has less than 150 yards total offense. Everyone who played defense gets one.

– Big hit. Coaches decide.

– Defensive touchdown.

– Defensive scout team player gets one.
