John Reynolds Mangosing, 68, son of Juan and Della Reynolds Mangosing, was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Kansas City. He died Aug. 2, 2008, at Patterson.

He was God-fearing man who tirelessly provided for the material and spiritual needs of those he loved. He had a deep reservoir of knowledge and wisdom from which he allowed others to freely draw. He had hands that could heal and welcomed scores of people into his home for adjustments on his famous coffee table.

He had a passion for sailing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Micky; two daughters, Pam Linberg and Maria Dankerbring; four sons, John, Kenny, Jason and Damon; three siblings, Tina Hefele, Patricia Door and Jim Mangosing; and seven grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 5 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery.
