Soundra Kay Reese, 61, daughter of Virgil Lavern Barton and Wanda Nadine German, was born Dec. 30, 1946, at Hartshorn. She died Aug. 15, 2008, at Cox South in Springfield.
She married Donald “Dee” Shoults Nov. 16, 1963. They had two children. Mr. Shoults died in 1993.
She married Justin Reese June 25, 1995. They made their home in the Mountain View area. Mrs. Reese worked for the last 10 years at Bob’s TV and Appliance. She also worked for Angelica Uniform Co. in Summersville.
She enjoyed going to the lake with her family, tending her flowers and looking for things in antique shops.
In her youth, she was a member of the Hartshorn Assembly of God. She and her husband attended the First Baptist Church in Mountain View.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; father and sister, Deloris Barton.
Surviving are her husband of the home at Mountain View; son, Darren Shoults of Vancouver, Canada; daughter, Linda Higgins of Mountain View; mother of Hartshorn; brothers, Delbert Barton of Hartshorn and Wilbert Barton of Mountain View; and four grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 19 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Noble officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery.
