Thelma Pauline Foard, 90, daughter of Oscar Denton Hines and Dora Bilbrey Hines, was born June 24, 1918, at Bethel in Texas County. She died Aug. 4, 2008, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
She married James Foard June 18, 1938. They had two children.
Mrs. Foard enjoyed her family and traveling to visit them.
Her personal time was spent idolizing Elvis, whose music she enjoyed for at least 50 years. She and her husband took cruises to exotic locations after their retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
Surviving are two children. Bob D. Foard of Van Buren and Sharron K. Foard Fowler of St. Louis; two sisters, Lola Cooley and Eileen Pack; one brother, Dale Hines; and three grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 9 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Daryl Young officiating. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery.
