Drake Bell and Weston Walker scored two touchdowns apiece to lead the Houston eighth grade football team’s 30-0 shutout Thursday at Cabool.

Bell scored in the first and second quarters for the Tigers (2-1). Walker added touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters.

Bell rushed for a season-high 112 yards on 14 carries. Walker added 77 yards on the ground, and Austin Bathon had 10 carries for 57 yards.

Walker had 57 receiving yards as well.

Following Walker’s 25 yard run in the first quarter, Bell scored from 21 yards away. He caught a two-point conversion pass from Walker to make it 8-0.

One play after Houston recovered its own fumble, Bell scored from 5 yards out in the second quarter. He added a conversion run to make it 16-0 at the half.

Walker, who gave the Tigers good field position with a 45-yard kickoff return, caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Bell in the third quarter. Bell ran in the conversion.

Walker added a 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for Houston’s final points.
