Doris Lucille Cantrell Jennings Fowler, 83, daughter of David W. Cantrell and Faye Weber Cantrell, was born Dec. 5, 1924, in St. Louis. She died Sept. 2, 2008.
She attended the Sherrill Elementary School and Licking High School.
In 1945, she married Richard Jennings in Baltimore, Md. They lived at Houston many years, where Mr. Jennings was a teacher at the Houston Schools. He died in 1984.
She married Fred Fowler July 6, 1991, at St. Peter’s Church of Christ at Washington, Mo. He preceded her in death in 2005.
Over her life, Mrs. Fowler was a health and life insurance salesman, restaurant owner, teller for The Bank of Houston, advertising sales for the Houston Herald and tax collector for the City of Houston.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Jennings; one sister, Gloria Jackson; and two brothers, Leonard and Tom Cantrell.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Jennings of Washington, Mo., and David Jennings of Kent, Wash.; two sisters, Pat Zoellner of Barnhart and Glenda Meyers of Muskegon, Mich.; three brothers, Vernon Cantrell of Houston, Larry Cantrell of Imperial and Dave Cantrell of Sparks, Nev.; and one granddaughter.
Private family services were under the direction of Oltmann Funeral Home in Washington, Mo.
