Sydney Cremer had nine points to lead the Lady Tigers’ 25-18, 18-25, 25-22 victory last Tuesday against Willow Springs.

Houston rebounded nicely after dropping its season opener 25-3, 25-3 the previous night against Liberty.

“The girls played much better this match,” coach Jodie Tottingham said. “They were more relaxed.”

On Thursday night, Sarah Robinson had four points in the Lady Tigers’ 25-15, 24-19 loss to Summersville.

“The girls played well,” Tottingham said. “They may not have won, but they put out a valiant effort. I was so proud of them.”
