Mary Lee Cloninger Goodin, 80, daughter of James Cleveland and Larura Ann Derryberry Cloninger, was born June 18, 1928, at Hartshorn. She died Sept. 7, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.
She married Thomas Jefferson Goodin April 11, 1948, at Summersville. They had two children.
Mrs. Goodin was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Hartshorn. In recent years, she attended the Church of Christ in Summersville.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; two brothers, William Homer and George Oliver; and five sisters, Ruby Irene Bolton, Orba Gertrude Connolly, Jennetta Mae Goodin, Virginia Faye Foster and Juanita Jane Cloninger.
Surviving are her sons, Donald Lee Goodin of Birmingham, Ala., and Jerry Lynn Goodin of Dumfries, Va.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 10 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Earl Goodin officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery.
