Emma Sue Hodges, 58, daughter of Virgil Norvin and June Nadine Clark Stark, was born April 28, 1950, at Houston. She died Sept. 12, 2008, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She grew up in Houston and graduated from Houston High School in 1968. She married Marvin Bilderback in 1967. They had three children.
She married Ron Hodges in 1991.
She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
She loved playing bingo and quilting. She made several quilts for family and friends.
Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Eldon Stark; and a grandson.
Surviving are her husband, Ron, of the home; three daughters, Jeanie Durham of Houston, Sara Dodds of Mountain Grove and Barbara Visage of Rolla; a brother, Ray Stark of Houston; four sisters, Christina Cooper and Erma Tyree of Houston, Sherry Mahurin of Kirksville and Marlene Schultz of Solo; and nine grandchildren.
Graveside services were Sept. 15 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Flint officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
