Thurman Quinton Ireland, 71, son of Buster Brown Ireland and Manary Elizabeth Stringer Ireland, was born Dec. 2, 1936, at Hartshorn. He died Sept. 13, 2008, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
He married Velma Cooper Jan. 16, 1954. They had one son.
The Irelands attended the Farmington Nazarene Church.
Mr. Ireland enjoyed fishing and reading and the outdoors, especially the river.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Clinton Ireland and Ivan Ireland.
Surviving are his wife of the home at Farmington; one son, Randy Quinton Ireland of Farmington; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 16 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with the Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery.
