Drake Bell returned two interceptions for touchdowns, rushed for a score and threw for another to account for all of the Houston eighth grade football team’s points in a 28-18 victory Thursday against Ava.

Bell scored on interception returns of 65 and 35 yards for the Tigers, who improved to 3-1.

Bell led Houston with 13 carries for 89 yards. Weston Walker had 49 yards rushing and Austin Bathon added 17.

A mishandled punt near the goal line set up Houston’s first touchdown. Bell scored from six yards out, then hit Walker for the two-point conversion.

Bell returned his first interception for a score in the second, and hit Walker for a 10-yard score in the third.

Bell picked off his second pass in the fourth to complete his four touchdown night.
