U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will travel throughout the 8th congressional district this month, her office announced last week. Congress holds a district work period each October.
“Though I would much prefer the Congress stay in session to address economic and energy security issues for Americans, I am looking forward to a full schedule of events in October working on local solutions to these problems with the people of southern Missouri,” Emerson said. “I hope anyone who would ordinarily have attended the local Congressional Connection stop with my staff would come out to see me at one of the many events I will be having over the next several weeks.”
