Almeda Faye Bilbrey, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Mountain View Health Care.

She was born Oct. 9, 1925, in Summersville, daughter of Charley and Viola Barnett Bilbrey.

She worked in Springfield during her 20s, then at Angelica Uniform Factory in Summersville, where she lived many years in the senior housing as she took care of her mother. She accepted Christ as her Savior several years ago and attended the First Church of God in Summersville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Elmer, Alfred and Dorvan Bilbrey; and two sisters, Virgie Hartwein and Edna Wilcox.

Survivors include two sisters, Idella Pitts and Vona King of Summersville; two nieces; nine nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Services were Friday, Oct. 31, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alva Trowbridge officiating. Burial was in Barnett Cemetery.
