Houston sophomore Sarah Pierce was named to the Class 2 District 3 first team last week. Teammate Erica Keeney was a second-team selection.
Pierce, the Lady Tigers’ starting setter, had 15 assists in Houston’s district-opening loss to Cabool. She led Houston with 380 assists this season and was among the team leaders with 107 kills, 115 digs and 24 blocks.
Keeney, a sophomore middle hitter, led Houston with 24 passes against Cabool. She was the team’s top front row player with 120 kills and 67 blocks. She also had 98 digs and 14 aces.
The all-district team was selected by the district coaches.
