Everett Lee Hildebrand, 70, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

He was born July 7, 1918, in Evening Shade, son of Joseph and Ida Belle Witt Hildebrand. He and Violet Cassidy were married March 18, 1938, in Houston.

He was in the Army during World War II and retired from civil service. He enjoyed fishing and working on the farm. He was a member of the Edgar Springs First Baptist Church and founding member of the American Legion Post 470 in Roby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Damon Lee; five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter, Eyvonne Brown of Beulah; a grandson; three great-granddaughters; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were Tuesday, Dec. 2, in the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lonnie Case officiating. Burial was in Palace Cemetery in Evening Shade.
