The City of Houston was recently one of 125 communities selected to participate in the 2009 Sticks for Kids program, which promotes junior golf.
Jim Root, parks director, and Brent Kell will hold clinics next summer. The city will receive an equipment package containing 10 sets of junior golf clubs, programming materials, bag tags and skills cards.
