The Missouri Department of Transportation began performing patching to restore ride ability on U.S. 60 this week in Howell and Texas counties.
Work will occur from the intersection of Highway AM in Howell County to the intersection of Highway 181 in Texas County. Weather permitting, crews and equipment will be on the roadway between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Also this week, MoDOT crews:
-Performed edge rut repairs on Highway 17 from U.S. 63 South to Highway O.
Edge rut repair work requires placing material at the edge of the roadway and is necessary to reduce shoulder drop off, MoDOT said.
-Began working on the Jacks Fork River Bridge on Highway 17. A grout material was pumped under_the section where the road and bridge meet to reduce impact from vehicles and create a smoother transition from roadway to bridge deck.
-Trimmed brush and cut trees on Highway M from U.S. 63 to Highway 38 to keep the right-of-way and roadways clear of debris.
