Russell L. Stout, 90, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at his home in Raymondville.
He was born June 7, 1918, in Kirksville, son of John and Edith Collins Stout. He and Jo Letner were married Oct. 11, 1980.
He was a minister for nearly 40 years. He was also a carpenter and farmer. He loved to garden, raise rabbits and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Randy Stout; and a sister, Juanita Shear.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three children, Rusty Stout of Raymondville, Tina Lewis of Houston and Stacy Mendenhall of Lee’s Summit; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Wayne Hurst officiating. Burial is in Boone Creek Cemetery.
