Sydney Cremer and Sierra Weaver scored overtime baskets as the Houston seventh grade girls defeated Mountain Grove 32-30 Friday at the Liberty Tournament.
Taylor Franklin had a team-high 12 points for Houston, which lost to Mountain Grove 33-18 earlier in the season. Alissa Bowlin added seven.
On Thursday, the Lady Tigers missed nine of their 14 free throw attempts in an 18-17 loss to Liberty. Kaylea Preheim had four points for Houston, which was outscored 9-4 in the fourth quarter as it failed to hang onto its lead,
EIGHTH GRADE: Alexa Ichord had five points in the Lady Tigers’ 23-19 loss Friday to Mountain Grove. Houston led 12-10 at the half.
On Thursday, Ichord scored eight points and Kenzie Scheets had seven in a 26-21 loss to Liberty.
