The annual holiday drive that benefits needy Texas County children began Monday in Houston. In its 24th year since its launch by the Herald, “Share Your Christmas” helps many who otherwise would have little Christmas cheer.
This year’s campaign is established at the Lions Club Den on North U.S. 63. Applications for assistance can be made from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, said Pat Miller, the coordinator for the project. Cases will be outlined in the newspaper each week. Those who would like to make a monetary donation can do so by dropping it in the mail to: “Share Your Christmas,” P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
Others wanting to help can do so by checking out the “Angel Tree” at Houston Wal-Mart or by calling Miller at 417-967-3234 or Sara Miller at 417-457-6075.
