Three persons have filed for a trio of positions on the Texas County Health Department board.
Filing for four-year terms are C.J. Smith, Houston; Ron Stone, Licking; and Kirby Holmes, Cabool. The incumbents are Smith, Stone and William Bridges.
No filings are reported for the Texas County Memorial Hospital board seat of Larry Southern. He recently resigned effective at the end of the year. The term expired in April.
It is a five-year position.
Voters will decide the races in April. The filings occur in the office of the county clerk.
In the City of Houston, Sharon Sillyman filed for the Ward I council seat. Others seeking office earlier were: incumbents Bruce Wilson, Ward II; and Bill Maxwell, Ward III. The terms of Ward I alderman Marla Murphy; and Mayor Steve Hutcheson also expire.
Two filings are reported at the Houston School District: Steve Pounds, incumbent; and Darren Ice, completed paperwork. The other incumbent is Kathy Hutcheson.
