Wilford Crow, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008.

He was born Feb. 27, 1926, in Licking, son of Berry and Grace Adams Crow. He and Betty Sue Potts were married May 29, 1947.

He served in the Navy during WWII. He was owner/operator of Licking Motor Co. and Crow Tractor & Implement Co. for more than 64 years. He served on various community board and organizations, including: Licking Chamber of Commerce, Licking Rodeo, the initial Licking Nursing Home Board, member of American Legion, Licking School Board, Board of Directors of Progressive Ozark Bank, served state level on Missouri Auto Dealers Association and Ford Dealer Advertising Association board and Texas County Republican Central Committee.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Licking for more than 60 years, serving as deacon, Sunday School teacher, superintendent, choir member and for two building committees.

He enjoyed spending time on his farms with his cattle and horses. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; three children, Berry Thomas Crow of San Diego, Calif., Grant Crow of Licking and Suzanne Alexander of Rolla; five grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Millard Crow; two sisters, Colleen Williams and Lura Hagler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were Sunday, Dec. 28, at First Baptist Church in Licking with Dr. Wilbur Mobley officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
