University Extension announced a unique opportunity for youth and their families on Saturday, Jan. 24.

The 4-H youth energizer is 10 a.m. at Cabool Middle School. Registration will occur in the cafeteria.

The event is open to both 4-H and non 4-H families in Howell, Oregon, Ozark, Shannon and Texas counties. “This event will be an opportunity for parents and their children to learn about 4-H projects, such as livestock, dance, theater arts, character education and clover kids,” said an organizer.

Youth will select workshops offered for the day. They are open to all youth ages 8-18 and their parents. There will be activities for youth ages 5-7 to occur throughout the day in separate sessions.

Lunch will be served at the event.

Pre-registration is required by Jan. 20. For more information about registering, contact Jenny Flatt or Carla Coldiron at the University Extension office at 417-256-2391.
