Charles J. Floyd, 46, died Jan. 13, 2009.

He was born Aug. 1, 1962, in Rolla, son of Robert Udolph Floyd and Nora Mae Layton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob; and his grandparents.

He was a truck driver for many years. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Survivors include a daughter, Nikki Floyd of Texas; stepfather, Jay Hobson of St. James; two brothers, Bill Floyd of Licking and Bobby Hobson of Pleasant Hope; four sisters, Veronica Darnell of Watonga, Okla., Kay Cockcroft of Jacksonville, Fla., Valeria Williams of Higgins, Texas, and Sharon Thompson of Lajuconmik, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Boone Creek Cemetery.
