Thayer outscored the Houston Lady Tigers 20-11 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 54-46 victory Thursday night.
Holly Thomas scored 17 points and Kendra Welch had 14 for the Lady Tigers, who led 35-34 entering the fourth quarter.
Thayer scored 17 of the first 22 points of the fourth quarter to take a 51-40 lead with 2:19 remaining.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Kaitlyn Neal and Sarah Pierce scored five points each in the JV Lady Tigers’ 29-22 loss Thursday night to Thayer.
Houston failed to score in the first quarter and trailed 16-9 at the half.
