The Missouri Department of Transportation will perform joint sealing on U.S. 63 beginning Tuesday.
Work is from the intersection of U.S. 60 to Route B. Weather permitting, crews and equipment will be on the roadway between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. through Friday.
Sealing joints in the roadway prevents water damage to the pavement and reduces deterioration. While performing this function, crews and equipment are located directly on the roadway. Motorists are urged to exercise caution when moving through the work zone.
Also Tuesday, MoDOT crews will perform edge rut repair on U.S. 60 beginning in Howell County to the intersection of Route 181 in Texas County.
Edge rut repair work requires placing material at the edge of the roadway and is necessary to reduce shoulder drop off.
