Linda Fay Carignan, 64, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at her home in Houston.
She was born Jan. 29, 1944, in Graff, daughter of Andrew and Dovie Boykin Lawson.
She opened her home to many people during her lifetime. She was known as ‘Ma.’
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Sherry and Vincent Lowther; two brothers, Gerald and Harold Lawson; and two sisters, Ila Virtue and Juanita Sagik. Survivors include her husband, Don Carignan of the home; three children, Heather Dawn Montgomery, Eva Marie Hebblethwaite and Wesley Kent Lowther; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and six siblings, Charlene Knox, Huey Lawson, Tom Lawson, Velma Knox, Charles Lawson and Ben Lawson.
Services were Monday, Jan. 26, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home.
