The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin performing shoulder repairs Tuesday on Highway 17.

Shoulder repair work involves removing ruts, low areas and high spots on the shoulders. The work, which is from the intersection of Highway AN to Highway AW, is from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

While performing this function, crews and equipment are located directly on or near the roadway. Motorists are urged to exercise caution when moving through the work zone.

Also this week, crews performed edge rut repair on Highway 32 from its intersection with Highway 17 to the Dent County line. Edge rut repair work requires placing material at the edge of the roadway and is necessary to reduce shoulder drop off.
