HHS graduate Jason Pace received a promotion recently with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A Houston High School graduate was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Jason M. Pace, a recruiter with Troop D, will retain his position and remain in Springfield with his promotion. He was assigned as a recruiter in 2004 with responsibilities covering four troops.

Pace was born in Rolla and graduated from Houston High School in 1989. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Harding University and in 1995 graduated from Missouri State University with a master’s degree in public administration.

Pace was assigned to Troop I in Laclede County when he joined the patrol in 1997. He was transferred to Troop D, Zone 1, in Springfield in 2001. He was promoted to corporal in 2005 and remained a full-time recruiter.

Pace is married to Jennifer Decker Pace. They have three children: Blake, 9; Brooke, 7; and Blaire, 2.
