Bonnie Marie Odle, 72, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at the Grandview Heights in Marshalltown, Iowa.
She was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Dykes, daughter of Lee and Nora Richards Collins. She and Richard Odle were married April 14, 1956, in Hernando, Miss.
She graduated from Houston High School in 1954. She was a homemaker and nurse’s aide and worked in home healthcare at Lynk’s Seeds, the MCC food cart and assisted at school. She was an active member of the Green Mountain United Church of Christ, the Green Mountain Lioness, Our Wednesday Out Fellowship, House of Compassion in Marshalltown, Iowa, and Cub Scouts.
She enjoyed fishing, family dinners, camping and visiting family in Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four half sisters; and a half brother.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Terry Odle of Altoona, Iowa, Tim Odle of Green Mountain, Iowa, Tom Odle of Plano, Texas, and Tab Odle of Eureka, Kan.; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Lee Hutsell of Houston and Sue Hensley of Lee’s Summit; a brother, Steve Collins of Houston; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services are 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at Green Mountain United Church of Christ with Pastor Kim Wilson officiating. Fellowship and refreshments will follow at Green Mountain Lion’s Building.
