JV Tigers win back-to-back contests

Curry Van Horn hit two 3-pointers and scored nine points in the Houston JV Tigers’ 30-22 victory Tuesday night against Seymour.

Justin Buchholz scored eight points and Kaleb Poynter had six. The game was shortened to one half.

It was the second straight win for Houston, which beat Willow Springs 62-53 on the road Friday night.

Van Horn hit four triples en route to 19 points. Buchholz added 12 points and Cory Scheets had 11.

On Thursday, Buchholz and Poynter had 10 points apiece in a 53-33 loss at Mansfield.
